In March, 180 Sqn will be having it's annual March Break Trip! This year we're going to Canadian Forces Bases Halifax and Greenwood from Saturday, March 10th to Saturday, March 17th by chartered coach. The cost of the trip includes all meals, accommodations and activities.

Cost and Payment The total cost is $300. All cadets confirmed to go must pay by Friday, February 17th. Payment can be done online by credit card (with PayPal), or by cash or cheque (to be given directly and only to Capt Hanniford). If cadets have any issues with the payment, they should speak to Capt Hanniford immediately. If paying by cheque, it must be made out to 180 Mosquito Squadron and include the cadet's name in the memo section.

ID Requirements All cadets going on the trip must bring their health card. The health card must be valid. Expired health cards will not be accepted!
Permission Form All cadets going on the trip must download, print, fill out and sign the March Break Permission Form. This must be handed in to Capt Hanniford by Friday, February 17.

Uniform All cadets going on the trip must have a full uniform and parka. Cadets who do not have these must see Mrs Gittens in supply on a Friday night at 6 pm.

Ski Day The first big event of 2012 is the Ski Day on Saturday 14 Jan. Sign-ups have finished. Here are details:
Departure: 7 am from Denison Armoury Return: Around 6 pm to Denison Armoury Bring: Warm winter clothing appropriate for snow and skiing and your health card; cadets will not be allowed to attend without their health card.

First Training Night Back Hopefully everyone enjoys their Christmas break. The Sqn starts up again on Friday 13 Jan with a regular training night.

Have nothing to do during the Christmas break? In level 2 or up? Need your fill of more cadet training? The Toronto Air Group Christmas Training Course is back and happening at Fort York Armoury from 26 to 31 Dec. This is an excellent opportunity to refine your leadership and cadet skills, and interact with air cadets from other Toronto squadrons. The following courses are available:
Courses - Junior Course - For level 2 cadets - Senior Course - For level 3 cadets - Flying Scholarship Review Course - For cadets who are writing the Flying Scholarship entrance exam in January

Uniform All cadets going to CTC must have a complete uniform. It's also highly recommended that you have a second light blue shirt and pair of grey socks. If you need any exchanges or want to get a second shirt and socks, see Cpl Sandoval in supply at Glenview on Saturday 17 Dec between 12 noon and 2 pm.

Santa Claus Parade The Santa Claus Parade fundraiser is on Sunday 20 Nov. All cadets who signed up will be told their meeting spot, and must be there for 9 am in full uniform with parka. Cadets who wish to get volunteer hours for the event must talk to Capt Hanniford.
Parent Meet and Greet On Friday 2 Dec, all cadets and parents are invited to 180’s annual Parent Meet and Greet. There will be information on the cadet program, 180 Sqn, summer courses, the Duke of Ed program and more, as well as a chance to talk to the cadets and staff, and refreshments. The night is during normal times, 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
TAG Swim Competition 180 Sqn is hosting the annual Toronto Air Group swim competition at Douglas Snow Aquatic Centre on Saturday 10 Dec. We need lots of swimmers, so if you can swim, then come out and be part of the team!
Sqn Dance 180 will be having a dance to celebrate the end of the year. It's happening on Friday 16 Dec at the Royal Canadian Legion. No uniforms. Just bring your party self and your glowsticks.
